Young people, united in the organization "Center for Social and Business Initiatives" (Yaremcha) with the participation of partner organizations, successfully implement the project "VeloKrayina" supported by the European Union under the Neighbourhood Programme "Romania - Ukraine." Project area includes the Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi and Transcarpathian region. Cells of the project are based in towns, well known among tourists - Yaremche, Vorokhta Yablunytsya, Mountain Plains, Coloma, Kosovo, and Rakhiv Vyzhnytsi.
Tourism industry in Ukraine in general and in particular developing Kosiv lopsided somehow - focuses only on the rich tourists.
All services, all developed infrastructure with an eye to the nouveau riche, "five-star" hotels and mansions, chic restaurants, a sky-high prices ... Where rest the poor people, especially young people? This and more we will talk with Rostislav Martynyuk, deputy district council and one of the coordinators of the project "VeloKrayina" whose main goal - the creation of infrastructure for recreational bicycle trips in the mountains and popularize this method of relaxation among Ukrainian and foreign tourists.
- The modern tourist industry does not notice people who do not have large savings and can not afford to rest the highest category - says Rostislav Teodoziyovych. - Usually, it is students, young families. A cycling - very democratic kind of rest. However, a cyclist should not be taken as needy. This mode of transport like people of all wealth, because it gives more opportunities for travel than the clumsy and lightweight pavement car. Now there are new models of bicycles, which can travel not only plain, but steep. Our mountain area and interesting because we have a lot of places to which it is easier or you can just get on the bike.

- It provides for the establishment of infrastructure for cyclists. It is about the development of routes of varying difficulty. They should indicate prepare appropriate cartographic material, GPS-tracks. All this should be done at the current European level. The project provides a network of homes. They will share in certain categories, including - and price policy!. In velosadybah be created suitable conditions: the place where you can park your Rover, wash it, hide in the night, there should also be a minimal set of tools to be able to repair the bike. This year, our colleagues from Yaremche very powerfully promoted himself and the flow of cyclists, those who like to rest in the Crimea, took to himself. Yaremchantsi already did a lot for the development of this area is tourism. Now the experience they readily spread to Kosovo, Kolomiysky, Verkhovyna, Rakhiv and Glyboksky areas.
Today is already equipped 50 velostoyanok: in Kosovo, apple, corners, Sheshory, Kobakah and old corners. Rozmischaly them at museums, shops, large hospitals, as well as interesting objects near national parks "Hutsul", where a gazebo, and bicyclists may they rest. - Implementation of any large-scale project is impossible without money. How much is planned to use Kosiv?
- The cost of the project, which is implemented in our area is half a million USD. This means the EU, which will be invested in our infrastructure. In addition to parks, seven developed Bicycle route. This is a great and laborious work. For three weeks in Kosovo volunteers from Kyiv, Lviv, and Kharkiv Brovary, which cooperated volunteers from Kosovo: Roman Tytyk, student Kosiv school number 1, to Arsene and Yurko Luchuk, students of Geography "Chernivtsi University. They helped develop routes for all the well-known local names, are targeted to the area.

- Cycling - rest for the poor. Maybe you should think about a hostel in our area (the so-called low-cost hotels, similar to student dormitories, with a certain set of amenities. - Author.)?
- Actually cycling can encourage our people to think that we need not only expensive luxury homes, and those same hostel. For the construction and maintenance of affordable inns and manors need much less money. Their owners have no income due to high prices for accommodation and services, and due to the many tourists. We will conduct workshops for those owners: tell what velosadyby as they should be equipped with how to make cyclists who have the experience of our neighbors - Poles, Czechs, Slovaks and Germans. This will refocus and develop the tourism industry edge.
I want to draw attention to important detail - cyclists usually do not create any problems for owners of camp sites and estates. In general, most tourists are very helpless, do not know where to go, what to do, all they need eyed. But cyclists are very independent people. In the morning they go on a journey and return in the evening so tired that they had not drunk for fun, let alone debauch. But there is need to wash the bike, something in it pidkrutyty, repaired. I spoke with the owners of the estates - they are very satisfied with these tenants. Thanks to the residents, home maintenance is minimal, which is also important. I was attracted to cycling, because this ecological way of rest, it does not affect the equilibrium in the natural environment, a healthy lifestyle, after all. When started this project, I discovered many interesting things. It turned out that in Kosovo there are several informal groups have long engaged in cycling. Because such a large and interested cooperation arose a serious plan. Our mountain Mikhalkov is only in winter.
